Established in 2002, SM Galaxy is made up of over 30 players from the impoverished township of Ndirande. The players age from 17 - 21 and are led by FAM associate Aubrey Nankhuni. SM Galaxy is a member of the Southern Football Association, ranking X place last season with a record of X - X. SAM Inc. has supported the Women’s National Football Team for many years, providing encouragement and supplies. Amai Achifundo is an orphanage that assists over 600 children in Lirangwe, a northern town of Blantyre. SAM Inc. supports the many individuals and organizations that have made this orphanage such an effective institution for the children in Lirangwe. On behalf of SAM Inc., SM Galaxy often visits the orphanage to inspire the youth and provide them with needed supplies. |

Based in the city of Nkhotakota is a small village named Chombo. Here, Sam Mchombo was raised and would one day return to create a means for the youth to become active in sports and community service. The Mtaya Football League was inaugurated in 1998 and has since emerged into a competitive 15 team league. See more about Mtaya HERE. |

Chalunda Earthquakes |

Known as “Dubai”, Area 49 in Lilongwe is home to the Chalunda Earthquakes, a young soccer club also committed to community service. The Earthquakes have made themselves into a formidable opponent to SM Galaxy. Each year, the teams meet to play for a SAM Inc. trophy. Last year, SM Galaxy took the trophy, but the Earthquakes are looking forward to redemption in 2007. |
